Web design:

• Eliza Gilkyson: Originated, designed and created site using Dreamweaver, HTML and PhotoShop. Created all graphic elements in PhotoShop. Edited text and maintained site from 2000-2004.
• Travel Service Everywhere: http://www.tsetravel.com. Conceptualized, designed and created site, using Dreamweaver, PhotoShop, Fireworks and HTML. Edited and assisted with writing.
• CirclePoint: http://www.circlepoint.org. Redesign. Created graphics using PhotoShop and Fireworks; applied new design using Dreamweaver and HTML.
• Cultural Encounters: http://www.culturalencounters.com. Conceptualized, designed and created site, using HTML, Dreamweaver and PageMill. Used some of my own photographs.
• Personal web site entry page: http://www.magicwandwebdesign.com/coral/index.htm. Created graphic in PhotoShop.

Freelance writing and photography:

• Wrote record reviews and live music reviews for the Austin Chronicle 1993-1994.
• Wrote monthly column on Austin music for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram 1991-1993, and book reviews and guest editorials for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram 1976-1981.
• Wrote and did photography for TravelAge MidAmerica, a travel agent magazine, 1987-1991
• Wrote and did photography for Nickelodeon, a Dallas-based music magazine, 1978-1979.

EMPLOYMENT:

Aspen Publishers: June, 2002 - present. Production coordinator. Responsible for Casenote Legal Briefs line of books. Lay out and format books using PageMaker 7, create PageMaker templates and styles. Make corrections to text per editors' instructions using PageMaker and Word 2000. Some editing and proofreading. Make PDFs of books using Adobe Distiller, post to FTP sites and send files to printer. Manage all Casenotes files and coordinate production with editors and contract compositors. Formulate instructions for contract compositors. Work with other employees on other lines of books.

Magic Wand Web Design: Jan., 2000 - present. Owner. Have been creating websites since 1998. In January, 2000 started my own web design business, The Magic Wand.

Gay Gillen Travel: March, 1993-June, 2002. Corporate and Leisure Travel Agent. Domestic and international reservations and ticketing. Assist with computer problems, upgrades and training. SABRE reservations system.

Travel Service Everywhere: June, 1983 - May, 1992. Senior Travel Consultant. Corporate and leisure, domestic and international travel arrangements. SABRE, ADS and DATAS II computer systems. Consulted with reservations and support staff, trained new employees, helped develop policies and procedures. Resolved computer problems.

Barker Travel Services: March, 1981 - June, 1983. Group Travel Consultant. All phases of group travel arrangements, including reservations, costing, writing brochures and press releases, and bookkeeping.

EDUCATION:

Austin Community College: 1996-2000. Courses in desktop publishing (two semesters), multimedia, digital imaging (two semesters), web design (HTML and PageMill, one semester each) and basic design.

Tarrant County Junior College: 1986-1990. 26 semester hours of Media Communications (audio-visual production and scriptwriting).

University of Texas at Arlington: 1978-1979. 27 semester hours of architecture, design and photography.

Texas Christian University: 1968-1972. Graduated with B.A. in sociology, minor in psychology. Full academic scholarship for four years.
